Bio:
Kerrigan is the second born daughter of Chad and Hope Harris. High-spirited and strong of will, Kerrigan is best known for breezing through life and wreaking all sorts of havoc wherever she goes. In her youth, she spent more time trying other people’s patience than she actually had any of her own.
After the triple of weddings of not only her sister, but two of her cousins, Kerrigan discovered a way to make her ‘natural born talents’ work for her — by aspiring to become a wedding planner. She let her mother and aunts take her under their wing, learning from them while they planned Miranda’s and Emma’s weddings and then decided to attend college to get her degree in event planning. Her charisma and spirited nature, that ability to ‘breeze’ into any situation soon becomes an asset because she is able to walk into any wedding and make it work. Her strong will and no-bs attitude (learned from her father) gives her edge with dealing with even the craziest of bridezillas.
She began dating Lucas Merriweather at the end of 2029, when she ‘acquired’ him as her date to the Wayne family Christmas party and realized she liked hanging out with him. A lot. Lucas is content to let her ‘breeze’ all over him, and they married in the early part of 2031. She got pregnant on their honeymoon and their twins (TWINS) Poppy and Aster were born later that same year. Four years later, in 2035, they are blessed with another son, Heath.
Their most trying moments as a family comes, however, in 2040, when their 9-year old son is diagnosed with leukemia. It begins with fatigue and other symptoms that remind certain members of the family of Grace’s bouts with anemia. And then weight loss. And then an injury that never quite healed, resulting in an infection. Kerrigan is referred to Dr. Janine Bailor, who is still one of the top pediatric oncologists in the country, but it is a long, hard, and painful road for their family. Aster almost dies twice before the treatment is successful and he goes into remission. She puts everything on hold her son, focused to a point where she almost loses her husband as well. Almost.
